Our incorporation began in 2010 to raise funds for projects, accept tax-deductible donations, unify neighborhood groups, and lead advocacy efforts. CDCs like ours are non-profits created by residents to revitalize and maintain their local communities. The "Avonridge" neighborhood was officially defined in 2015 by Prince Georges County's Planning Board and Council with these boundaries: 

Northwest - 18th Ave; 

North - Northwest Branch Tributary/Chillum Rd; 

East - Queens Chapel Rd, 24th Ave, Arundel Rd, 

and Varnum St;

South - Eastern Ave

Avonridge CDC remains a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Maryland. All contributions, including memberships dues and donations, are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
